Privacy policy

This page explains what happens to your personal data when you use tangointegral.com. Tango Integral Ltd is the data controller. If you have any question about it, write to info@tangointegral.com.

The short version

This site sets no cookies and runs no advertising or tracking. It collects your details in exactly two situations: when you send us a message through one of the forms, and when you subscribe to the newsletter. We do not sell or share your data, and we never send you anything you did not ask for.

When you write to us

The contact form, the private-lesson form and the Buenos Aires trip form are handled by Formspree, which passes the message to our inbox.

• What we collect: your name and email address, plus your phone number, subject, preferred teacher or message if you choose to fill those in.
• Why: to answer you. Nothing else.
• How long: the message stays in our email account and in the Formspree submission list. Ask us and we will delete it from both.

When you subscribe to the newsletter

The newsletter is run with EmailOctopus, where your address is stored.

• What we collect: your email address, and your name if you give it.
• Why: to send occasional emails about class dates, milongas and trips.
• Consent: you confirm the subscription by clicking a link in an email, so nobody is added without agreeing.
• Leaving: every email carries an unsubscribe link, and it takes effect immediately.

Hosting and visitor numbers

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web server, Cloudflare records requests, which includes your IP address, for security and to keep the site running.

We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count how many people visit and which pages they read. It sets no cookies and does not fingerprint you or follow you between sites: we see totals, never individuals. We chose it over Google Analytics for exactly that reason.

What your browser loads from elsewhere

A few things on the site are fetched from other companies. In each case your browser contacts them directly, which means they can see your IP address:

• Google Fonts — the site's two typefaces are loaded from Google's servers on every page.
• Points of Tango — the milonga listings on Tango in London and the class dates on Classes are requested from their API when the page opens.
• YouTube — the video on the blog post loads only if you press play. Until then nothing reaches YouTube. When it does load, it uses their no-cookie player.
• EmailOctopus — the newsletter form in the footer is loaded from their servers.
• Cloudflare — the small analytics script described above.

Cookies

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us to show you the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it. Write to info@tangointegral.com and we will deal with it. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.

Children

This site is not aimed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has sent us their details, tell us and we will delete them.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update this page and the date at the top.
